Years ago I gave Notion a try but it never really clicked and after a few weeks I gave up with it. Just a couple of weeks ago I was prompted to have another look. I honestly don’t remember now what caused that. This time, though, it did click. I don’t know if Notion is significantly better now than it was a few years ago or if I’m different, but this time I get it. I very quickly pulled a load of stuff together into something that I think will be useful, both for me and my family (if I can persuade them to give it a go too 🙂).
And I’ve also discovered that I can publish my Notion pages as public web pages so I’m having a go at crafting my first public, personal web site in a very long time. Including a blog. I haven’t run a blog in a long time either, so this is all very experimental, but it seemed fitting for this to be the first blog post.
I have lots of experimenting to do with formatting and layout to get the best from all this, so the look and feel is very likely to change over the coming weeks as I get the time to play. And I dare say there’ll be more posts about Notion and my use of it, but there will be other stuff too. Not sure what - I guess time will tell!
